Major road renewal works are progressing across the Brighton municipality, with upgrades on Briggs Road and Back Tea Tree Road set to improve safety and travel conditions for local residents and road users.

Briggs Road, a key link between Brighton and Gagebrook carrying more than 2,500 vehicles each day, has recently undergone significant renewal works. The project included a new underground stormwater network, kerb and channel works, and new footpaths connecting to existing pedestrian routes. These improvements are expected to provide safer and more reliable access for drivers and pedestrians.

Further upgrades are also nearing completion on Back Tea Tree Road, a rural road shared by the Brighton and Clarence municipalities. Works include road and bridge widening, along with new safety measures such as barriers.

A focus on more sustainable construction across both projects has supported the reuse of existing pavement materials where possible, reducing the need for new materials and helping deliver cost savings. The road projects form part of ongoing efforts to maintain and improve local transport links across the region.
