East Derwent Primary School students learning about composting with Gwen Harper

Gwen Harper, a Waste Education Officer from Brighton Council recently visited East Derwent Primary School Jordon River Learning Federation’s kitchen garden program. She provided students with information about resource management and the FOGO composting scheme – and provided a very engaging exploration into the program. Students were respectful and curious and many gained a better understanding of local council services. Students said the highlight was meeting Gwen’s composting worms and learning about their life cycle.
