by Brighton Council
L-R: The Hon. Rebecca White MP, Brighton Councillors Greg Irons and Phil Owen, Deputy Mayor Barb Curran, Mayor Leigh Gray and Mrs Jen Butler MP

Hundreds of residents turned out on Saturday 11 April to celebrate the official opening of the new soccer grounds, club facilities and car park at Ted Jeffries Memorial Park. The precinct was officially opened by Mayor Leigh Gray and Federal Member for Lyons, Rebecca White. Families and young players filled the grounds throughout the day, creating a lively atmosphere as the community explored the new facilities.

The event was supported by the Rotary Club, whose BBQ proved extremely popular and sold out on the day. Visitors also praised the landscaping and overall presentation of the precinct, with many commenting on the quality of the new community space.

Council thanks everyone involved in delivering the project and helping make the opening day such a success.
