Robins Masters go down fighting in Grand Final

by Brighton Council

Brighton Robins’ Masters side made the Grand Final but just fell short of the win, going down to St Virgils by three points, 33–36. They fought until the final siren in a contest that could have gone either way.

It wasn’t the ending the club had hoped for, but the result takes nothing away from what the group has achieved this season. Three consecutive Grand Final appearances – including last year’s premiership – stands as a reflection of the commitment, mateship and pride the players have shown in the Robins jumper.

The club has thanked every player, coach, volunteer, family member and supporter who was part of the journey this season, saying: “Hold your heads high, boys. You’ve once again done our club incredibly proud.”
