Old Beach Cricket Club has been working hard over the winter months to get ready for a big 2026/27 Season. As the last remaining original club from a once thriving Brighton Cricket Association, the club has a long and proud history intertwined with the story of the Old Beach area and continues to promote the game of cricket in the Brighton Municipality.

A positive 2025/26 season saw the club’s 1st team make the Southern Cricket Association 2nd Grade Grand Final and its 3rd team win the 7th Grade Grand Final, they have taken the step back up into 1st Grade for the 2026/27 season.

After a fantastic 2025/26 season, the 1st Team captain Liam Harris won his second consecutive Jim Cleary Medal for the club’s best player and will lead the 1st Team again this season in 1st Grade.

Life Member Paul Rogers has taken on the coaching duties for the coming season and is ably assisted by Sean McGuire and Liam Harris. The club has once again entered three men’s sides in the Southern Cricket Association and will compete in 1st, 4th and 6th Grade.

The club is always on the search for new players and supporters. Training is at Cloak Oval in Old Beach on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5.30pm.
