Free energy advice for Brighton residents and businesses

by Brighton Council

Brighton Council has launched a free energy advice program to help local households and small businesses take practical steps to reduce power bills, improve year-round comfort and cut emissions.

Delivered by certified social enterprise ZapCat, the program provides independent guidance on electrification and energy efficiency measures. This includes expert advice on solar panels and batteries, insulation and draught proofing, induction and electric cook tops, heat pump hot water systems and other upgrades.

ZapCat’s advisors can help households and businesses compare product options, estimate costs and savings, understand available rebates, and find quality installers.

Renters can also benefit from the support of advisors who can suggest low-cost products and portable appliances as well as simple changes that can help keep homes warmer in winter, cooler in summer, and cheaper to run.

To learn more about the program and to access free, independent energy advice, visit zapcat.com.au/brighton. Use the online tool to receive an instant estimate of likely costs and savings, or book a free virtual consultation for advice tailored to your home or business.
