Welcome to new citizens

Brighton Council recently hosted an Australian Citizenship Ceremony at the Brighton Civic Centre, welcoming 20 new Australian citizens.

Mayor Leigh Gray was joined by Deputy Mayor Barb Curran, Councillor Phil Owen and Mr Carlo Di Falco MP to officially welcome the new citizens.

Mayor Gray said Tasmania continues to be shaped by people from many backgrounds who choose to call it home, and that the state’s diversity is one of its greatest strengths. He congratulated the new citizens and welcomed them as part of the Brighton community.
