FORMER Bridgewater High School student Sarah Everett continues to go from strength to strength with her talent. She recently received first prize of $800 and a framed certificate as the national secondary schools winner of a singer-songwriting contest.

Art teacher Eve Mills, who entered Sarah after seeing an advertisement on the Wakakirri story festival website, said: “We always knew she was good but this just proved how good she was.”
You can listen to songs recorded by Sarah at a song-writing workshop held by Brighton Council in conjunction with PCYC and Regional Arts Songwriting program.
