TAZZY-AZ crew will be the new fight promotion and management team to produce the next instalment of current boxing talent throughout Tasmania and will work alongside already established promoters from Victoria. The team consists of Lyndon Hosking HP Promotion, which looks after the Maloney twins and Adam Wilcock who looks after Tasmania’s own Luke Jackson and Jayden Joseph.
Krystina (Mousey) Jacobs, who the first-ever female professional boxer to come out of this state will take on Thailand’s Siriphon Chanbuala in her much-anticipated professional debut. Siriphon is an experienced campaigner and will be a tough test for Mousey’s first fight. Siriphon boasts a 12-win, six-loss and two-draw fight record to date.
Krystina is trained by Adrian Lovell and Richard Newton of the Brighton Fighting and Fitness Boxing Club and they say she is more than ready for this next step in her career. She has done all the hard work in what has been a gruelling 10-week fight camp which included sparing with Sugar Neekz Johnson, who is the current IBA World Bantamweight champion and WBC Oceana title holder, along with training every day of the week, twice a day including pad work, running and strength and conditioning.
As Brighton Community News is being distributed, this event is being held at Bendigo Stadium with a dual main even featuring Andrew Maloney who will fight for the world title eliminator and Tim Tszyu son of former World Champion, Kostya Tszyu.
The TAZZY-AZ crew is over the moon to not only have Mousey on the undercard but also her stablemate Layton McFerran from Launceston taking on Victorian Daniel Hucoulak who has a four-win and zero-loss record but has not been tested like he will be against Layton.
