CHRIS Ziehfreund (‘Ziggy’) from the Old Beach Cricket Club reached an outstanding milestone in round 11 of the roster. Chris became only the second player in the history of the Old Beach Cricket Club to Jim Cleary, to play 400 games.
The team celebrated in style with a great win over Molesworth. Since making his debut for the club in 1985 Chris has scored almost 9000 runs including four centuries and 42 half centuries. Also rolling the arm over Chris has taken 135 wickets with his medium pacers and he has played in four winning premierships for the club aiming for number five this season. The Old Beach Bushrangers congratulates Chris once again for his fantastic service to the club and the great spirit in which he has always played. Chris is admired and respected by all his team mates and fellow club members.
