The stand-out swimmers in year 5 were Cody Radford and Staycee Watkins, both setting records for the 25m freestyle and the 25m backstroke.

JRLF as also lucky enough to see two school swimming records broken by year 6 students.

Shane Orr swam beautifully in the 50m breaststroke with a time of 1.35.22 and Jesse Radford also swam well in the 50m backstroke, finishing in 1.15.28.

The participation rate was so high that we were unable to complete all events.

Congratulations to all who swam and earned vital points for their houses. At the end of the day the winning house was Athena.

This year also saw the introduction of our first Middle School House captains.

A special thank you to the Senior School house captains who showed excellent leadership and were a great help on the day.

It was also great to see so many parents and friends at the carnival supporting all of the students. Here’s hoping next year will be even bigger and better.
