Below is a brief summary of the main proposed works over coming weeks:

Bridgewater Park

The main park area is now completed and opened (see story this issue) with fencing removed. The majority of the Council works are finished other than some landscaping. There have been a few delays on finalising the toilet block. While the main park area has been opened fencing remains around the toilet area and webbing around the grassed areas.

East Derwent Highway walkways

The majority of the base is finished except for the Disability access track which will be finished once the ground dries out. Concreters will continue pouring as weather permits with approximately four to six weeks to completion. Once the concreting is finished lighting will be finalised.

Baskerville Road

Works will begin on Baskerville Road early this month from near the entrance of the quarry to the section that was completed two years ago.

Eddington Street

The tender for Eddington Street has been awarded to Stabilised Pavements of Australia.  The company will start service locations this month with a view to starting roadworks next year.

Polonia Bridge Park

Works have begun but progress depends on the weather.

Subdivisions

Army Camp – The link road to the roundabout on Brighton Road is progressing with approximately two months before completion.

Fouche Ave – The link road construction joining both ends of Fouche Ave has begun.

Other works underway are irrigation at the Army Camp and general digouts and potholing.
