Junior soccer’s stylish swansong

By GRAHAM GILL

BEING the last year for our junior under 12 kids we thought we would do something special so they would take this experience away with them and have something to show for it other than trophies or medals.

We wanted to make them look professional and proud of their achievements and we came up with the idea of a team jacket.

When it came to raising funds we looked for a successful local business that would love to support our great kids. So we approached the generous people at 4one4 Real Estate.

They were very happy to come on board and were able to fund the full cost of the jackets.  The kids got to wear their jackets for the first time at a night game at Weily Park grounds recently. It was a very exciting night and everyone commented on how united and professional our kids looked, with one parent saying they look superb.

I would like to thank 4one4, especially Damian Hollingsworth, for supporting our whole team including the coach Ron Cure and team manager Graham Gill in providing the jackets for all, and also for their support of junior sports development in our wonderful community, which they did without hesitation when they agreed to fund this great cause.

Finally I would love to congratulate and thank Ron Cure and the whole under-12 Brighton gold soccer team for a great season – thank you.
