BRIGHTON’S popular market on the first Sunday of every month recently celebrated its first birthday.
Brighton Council’s deputy mayor Geoff Taylor cut a celebratory cake and congratulated the market organisers for the great concept.
Children’s entertainment was to the fore on the day, with a clown and face painter providing special treats for kids. There was also musical entertainment by Leo ‘Slim’ Mundy. All in all it was a great day for everyone.
Danielle Hall and Bill Arnol are now running it the market’s day-to-day operations. Ruth Slade is now concentrating on her own business.
The special Father’s Day market saw a musical performance by Tony Voglino that all thoroughly enjoyed. Organisers have asked Tony back to help celebrate the Brighton Christmas Twilight Market which will be held on December 13 from 5pm to 9pm.
This will be a fantastic Christmas event for the community with local schools involved including a visit from Santa.
Expressions of interest are now being taken so please phone 0427 008 353 for this event or our community’s local monthly market.
