Course gives confidence to class cosmeticians

THE new Certificate II in Retail Cosmetics course at Jordan River Learning Federation Senior School is off to a flying start.

The students have all participated in turning the classroom into an inviting and gorgeous salon space.  Students have used make-up inspirations and positive quotes on being beautiful inside and out.

We have a new class uniform (tunic) which is helping students understand the dress code for this particular working environment.   Students in the class are proud to wear their tunics and they look fantastic.

The group is striving to achieve the Certificate II in Retail Cosmetics with an understanding that this is the first point toward making a career for themselves in this industry.

Students have already undergone a unit in work health and safety, now are moving onto learning about communicating effectively within a salon environment.

Soon students will start the design and apply makeup unit in which the girls are helping to buy their own make-up and brush kits.

As the teacher of this class, I’m really looking forward to working with the class to see the goals we will be able to accomplish. We are aiming high.
