BRIGHTON Football Club has signed Ben Atkin as senior playing coach for two years
Ben has fantastic football experience having played ore than 100 games with the Tassie Devils. A past William Leitch medalist, Ben has won numerous best and fairest awards and more recently was the playing coach at Claremont.
Ben’s vast experience and leadership skills will continue the upward trend of the success at our club, which has been buzzing since the end of the season.
With the senior team finishing on a high with a couple of wins, the reserves making it to the elimination final and the colts winning the grand final in fantastic style, all is looking great at the club.
A great day was had at the recent Brighton Show where we had a stand that included a handball competition for the kids and a dunking machine, where participants could dunk a football player.
It was a hard to get volunteers early in the day, but as the day became hotter, people were lining up to get dunked and even our president, Chris Goodluck volunteered.
A Christmas family day is planned for Sunday, December 20 from 2pm, so come along and join in the Christmas spirit. We may even get a visit from the big man in the red suit!
Pre-season has started extremely well with over 60 players already on the track. The committee has increased in number and is already in deep discussions planning the season ahead with sponsors keen to get on board.
We are also pleased to welcome 4one4 Real Estate as our first major sponsor for season 2010.
If you are interested in supporting the Brighton Football Club in season 2010 either by joining as a member or a sponsor, please contact Scott Ford on 0421 741 124 or Chris Goodluck on 0427 529 362.
Our sponsorship group will be visiting businesses and individuals in the coming weeks to discuss a package that best suits you.
We look forward to seeing many old and new faces at the footy in the upcoming season.
